Dyness Tower Battery Pro BDU
SKU: Dyness-Tower-Pro-BDU

Dyness-Tower-Pro-BDU: master BMS and DC-breaker head for Tower Pro HV stacks, offering IP55 steel housing, 1 C charge/discharge, CAN/RS-485 comms and LED status. Enables 11–276 kWh scalable storage with tool-free stacking and remote firmware upgrades for hassle-free O&M.
- Manufacturer Dyness
The Dyness-Tower-Pro-BDU (Battery Disconnect Unit) is the intelligent heart of every Tower Pro high-voltage stack. Sitting at the top of the column, the BDU houses the master BMS, solid-state DC breaker and communication hub that tie multiple HV96-40 battery modules into a single, grid-ready storage pack. One BDU plus two to six Tower Pro modules produces between 11.5 kWh and 34.5 kWh per stack, while the system’s parallel architecture allows up to twelve identical stacks for a campus-scale 276 kWh bank dyness.com.
Encased in a powder-coated steel shell with an IP55 ingress rating—robust enough for dusty plant rooms and coastal humidity—the Dyness-Tower-Pro-BDU measures a compact 480 × 400 × 580 mm and weighs just ≈ 28 kg, making single-tech handling feasible on tight installation schedules. Its front panel features a multi-colour LED strip that reports State-of-Charge, active alarms and firmware-update status at a glance, eliminating the need for external HMI kits.
Core capabilities
Integrated high-speed breaker – disconnects the entire stack within milliseconds during over-current, over-temperature or insulation-fault events, delivering installer and firefighter safety well beyond fuse-only solutions.
Multi-bus communications – dual CAN ports plus RS-485/RS-232 enable closed-loop control with leading high-voltage hybrid inverters, while a service port provides local PC diagnostics.
1 C charge / discharge support – matches the Tower Pro module’s ultra-rapid chemistry for full-cycle utilisation without throttling.
Auto-address stacking – spring-loaded blind-mate connectors feed power, comms and earthing through the tower; add or swap modules and the BDU re-maps the pack in seconds—no DIP switches or laptop needed.
Remote firmware & telemetry – through the inverter gateway or optional Dyness Wi-Fi dongle, the BDU pushes SOC, voltage, temperature and cycle data to Dyness Cloud for fleet-wide O&M.
Installer & EPC benefits
Tool-less assembly – slide-in rails and plug-and-play headers trim install time by up to 40 % versus screw-lug batteries.
Service agility – hot-swap modules under BDU supervision without shutting down the entire bank, preserving site uptime.
Scalable revenue – homeowners can start small and add modules or parallel stacks later, locking in future upgrade business.
Regulatory peace of mind – full compliance with EU safety standards and built-in aerosol-fire-suppressant option (factory) meet stringent AHJ requirements.
Integrate the Dyness-Tower-Pro-BDU into every Tower Pro deployment and deliver a storage platform that grows with client demand, safeguards assets and streamlines your field operations—all from a single, intelligent control head.
