SolarEdge CSS-OD Battery Cabinet 197kWh

SolarEdge CSS-OD Battery Cabinet 197kWh (CSS-OU-01-11-CA-197-01) is a high-power, AC-coupled commercial and industrial energy storage cabinet designed for on-grid sites where reliability, safety, and rapid deployment matter. Supplied pre-assembled and factory-tested, it enables faster installation and commissioning, with support for indoor or outdoor placement and integrated lifting points to simplify positioning. Configuration and commissioning are accelerated using SolarEdge Go, and sites can be built with 1 or 2 × 50kW battery inverters per cabinet to suit project requirements.

With 197.12kWh total capacity and 187.15kWh usable energy using LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) chemistry, the cabinet is engineered for predictable performance and long service life. It operates over a 616–792Vdc range and uses built-in HVAC cooling for stable operation across demanding environments (down to -30°C), helping maintain consistent output on real-world C&I sites.

Safety and resilience are central to the CSS-OD design, with layered protection at cell, module, cluster and cabinet levels, plus multi-sensor monitoring (including flood, door, heat, humidity, CO, and smoke detection). Integrated safeguards include reverse polarity, earth fault and leakage detection, surge protection, and built-in fire detection and suppression measures. The cabinet is rated IP54 with C4 corrosion protection, supporting deployment in harsh environments.

For energy optimisation, the system is powered by SolarEdge ONE for C&I, enabling multiple control modes such as maximised self-consumption, peak shaving, tariff optimisation, and import/export limiting (region dependent). Backed by a 10-year product warranty and a performance warranty of 7,000 cycles or 10 years to 70% SoH, CSS-OD offers a single-vendor route to PV, storage, and energy management with unified support and warranty coverage.
