The SolarEdge ONE Controller is a compact, IP20 smart-energy hub that lets installers add real-time load control, tariff optimisation and third-party device integration to any SolarEdge Home PV system. Designed for European residences, the controller (model LCNT) orchestrates surplus PV, battery discharge and grid imports to minimise bills and carbon footprint while giving homeowners app-level insight and automation.
How the SolarEdge ONE Controller boosts self-consumption
Installed next to the inverter or inside the consumer unit, the controller communicates over Wi-Fi or Gigabit Ethernet and speaks both OCPP 1.6 for EV chargers and EEBUS for heat pumps. It can divert excess generation to one EV charger and one heat pump simultaneously, ensuring that high-draw appliances operate on free solar instead of expensive grid power. A built-in rules engine prioritises loads based on tariff windows, battery SOC and user preferences set in the mySolarEdge app.
