The Trinasolar 515W Vertex S+ Dual Glass N-type i-TOPCon Solar Module – Black Frame/White Backsheet is a high-output rooftop module aimed at commercial and premium residential projects where every square metre of roof needs to work hard. Built on Trina’s NEG18R.28 platform, it delivers up to 515 W with 23.2% module efficiency, helping installers achieve higher kWp on constrained roofs and drive down BOS cost per watt.
At STC, the 515 W variant offers Vmpp 33.9 V, Impp 15.20 A, Voc 40.9 V and Isc 15.96 A, giving a low-voltage, high-current profile that works well with modern 1500 V string designs and high-power inverters. A low Pmax temperature coefficient of –0.29%/°C and NOCT around 43°C help the module hold onto its power output in hotter conditions, while Trina’s N-type i-TOPCon cell technology improves low-irradiance performance for stronger yields across the year.
Mechanically, this is a dual-glass, monofacial design using 1.6 mm heat-strengthened glass front and back, a 30 mm black anodised frame, and 108 N-type i-TOPCon mono cells. The module measures 1961 × 1134 × 30 mm and weighs 23.5 kg, keeping it under 2 metres for easier rooftop handling while still delivering very high power density. Test loads of 5,400 Pa snow and 2,400 Pa wind support use on exposed sites, and the IP68 junction box with PV-KST/PV-KBT EVO2 connectors integrates cleanly with mainstream mounting and BOS components.
The dual-glass laminate is less prone to backsheet scratches and micro-cracks during installation, and contributes to the long-term reliability story. Trina backs the Vertex S+ NEG18R.28 series with an extended 25-year product warranty and 30-year power guarantee, limiting degradation to 1% in year one and 0.4% per year from year 2–30, with at least 87.4% of nameplate power still guaranteed at year 30.
