The Victron smallBMS is a battery management system for Victron Smart LiFePO4 batteries with M8 circular connectors. It provides load disconnect, pre-alarm and charge disconnect outputs for managing protected lithium battery systems.

Works across 8 to 70V DC, covering 12V, 24V and 48V systems.
Load output is rated to 1A and pre-alarm output to 1A for control signals and external switching logic.

System on/off uses Remote L and Remote H terminals. A remote on/off switch or relay contact can be connected between L and H, or terminal H can be switched to battery plus and terminal L to battery minus. The Load output is not short-circuit protected. The Charger output is not suitable for inductive loads such as relay coils. Minimum delay between pre-alarm and load disconnect is 30 seconds.
Normal current draw is 2.2mA, with 1.2mA at low cell voltage and 1.2mA in remote off mode.
